Javier Rico is coming to Torrevieja for an exhibition match at El Capitan Sport Center 16th of February. Background
Javier Rico Dasi, best known as Javi Rico, was born on May 15, 1998 in Valencia, Spain. As the younger brother of Josete Rico, Javi shows how big he can be on the track, despite his height of 1.67 m. He was a regular player at the Circuito de Oro de la Comunitat Valenciana and was even regional champion with his brother . With over 20 minor titles throughout his paddle career, Javi Rico now shows incredible talent year after year during the World Padel Tour.
Coki Nieto and Javi Rico were the youngest duo to play in a World Padel Tour final. After playing 32 matches in 2016 without ever reaching a major round in the tournaments, Javi doubled his playing time in 2017 and began to appear in the later stages of the tournaments. In the 2018 season, Javi Rico continued to increase his performance and with approximately 66% match efficiency, he continued to climb the ranks together with Coki Nieto. Finally, in 2019, he managed to win the San Javier Challenger 2019 and reached a tournament final in the Cerveza Victoria Mijas Open 2019.
